2017 Speakers

Cooper Ray

We are so excited to be welcoming in Cooper Ray as our keynote speaker.   Over the past 20 years, Cooper has motivated and inspired youth and  adults at countless diocesan, parish, and school events across the  country and has spoken and led worship at the National Catholic Youth  Conference, the National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry, Catholic  Heart Work Camp and Steubenville Youth Conferences, to name a few.  His  relevant message and crowd interaction can reach a teen all the way in  the back row.

Full Armor Band

Full  Armor formed over seven years ago when the band was asked to lead music  for a new youth Mass in their hometown of Middletown, NY. Over time, the  band slowly began to receive invites participate in other  Christian/Catholic ministry events in their region.

Today, Full Armor continues to share their music and ministry at parish  and diocesan concerts and conferences nationally. Their greatest joy is  seeing God change the lives of the young people with whom they get to  share in ministry.

Will Smith

Will’s classroom teaching experience combined with his love  for music and the Gospel naturally led him to directing church choirs of  all ages, teaching and presenting. An avid promoter of responsible  media consumption, Will stresses the importance of developing positive  music and media messages to youth and adults. He practices what he  preaches by seamlessly incorporating music, multi-media, humor and  storytelling into each of his presentations.

In addition to his position at Mother of Sorrows, Will facilitates  retreats, and presents workshops for youth and adults and has been the  emcee, liturgical musician and keynote speaker for various diocesan  youth rallies. When not rehearsing or composing a social media post for  his parish, Will enjoys spending time with his wife Christie, three kids  and his dog who thinks he is a cat.

Rich Curran

The son of an Irish immigrant, Rich was born and raised on the  Southside of Chicago where he learned the basic principles of hard  work-learn fast and adapt to your environment. With four boys in the  house you had no choice if you wanted seconds at dinner!

It was an accident that left him temporarily unable to move during  his sophomore year of college that changed the direction his life would  take. Forced to retire from athletics, Rich found himself searching for  his own meaning. In the process, he found so much more.

Rich Curran is a national speaker who has been helping teenagers and  adults find meaning and purpose in their lives for 15 years. His passion  and enthusiasm for living life fully is highly contagious and his  humor, stories and specific action steps leave audiences ready to make a  difference.

Rich, his wife (and hero) and their two boys now live in Appleton, WI.
